‘ordered rarely and in public inerest oy eg. in case where the conduct of an employee is under
{nvestgation or where inthe interests of the Administration, iti considered thatthe Railway employee
‘should be kept at another station, In uch case of transfer, the Railway employees so transfered are given
‘protection of seniority, causing hardship to the staff wsiting promotion inthe unit 10 whieh they have
fen transferred. Therefore, such transfers shovld be ordered only when absolutely ineseapuble. Where an
‘cuauity is pending against the Railway employee, che same should be processed expeditiously snd the
hatter finalized as carly as possible, sot the Rallvay employee may be transferred back to his original
unit of seniority.

7. Transfer om the bass of one way own request

7,1. ‘Transfer of Raitway employees on consideration of ther requests within the same unit of seniority
aes not ental loss oF soniorty to the Rafvay employees concerned, The requests are nomally based on
family convenience of educational faces, ote. Where there are unpopular stations from which the
Railway employees have sought trasfer, it should be ensured that such stations are manned to the
authorized strength by prescribing a minimum period of service at such stations as « prerequisite to
ftansfer to popular station by registration,

72. The requests for transfers should छ deal with in an organized manner and there should not be any
जा for any grievance inthe mind of the staff in regard 1० handling oftheir request. Ifa yacaney

immediately accepting the request and informing dhe cadre authorities from where the trmsfer is to be
