Sub: Freight Concession on Automobile traffic meant for North Eastern States - Audit Para 2.5 of Report No. 4 of 2024 (Railways) Ref: Rates Circular No.80 of 2007; No.07 of 2008 and clarifications thereto. In terms of extant instructions under reference, 6% concession in freight is applicable to traffic booked to and from states of North Eastern Region. With reference to above, it is clarified that 6% concession in freight applicable to traffic booked to and from states of North Eastern Region is also applicable to Automobile traffic whether it is transported in IR wagons or wagons owned by AFTO.
