Reference above, it is advised that in terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 10.11.2020, the guidelines on subject was reiterated and was advised that in force majeure circumstances when delivery of consignment short of destination is permitted, freight charges for the uncovered journey will not be refunded. It is clarified the condition that freight charges for the uncovered journey will not 06 refunded was meant for the then situation of agitation in Punjab. In conditions otherwise, the contention of Board’s letter No.TCR/1078/1998/8 dated 18.01.2002 Rates Instruction No. 7 of 2002 and Correction Slip No. 24 of the IRCM Volume Ii, Para No. 1873 (a) holds good.
