Sub: Additional free time for cleaning activities of tank wagons in private sidings and goods
sheds in case of edible oil when there is change of product
Ref: Corrigendum No.39 dt.27.03.2023 of Rates Master Circular/Demurrage-Wharfage-Waiver/2016/0
As per extant guidelines, additional free time of 4(four) hours per rake is permitted for cleaning
activities(cleaning, mopping, coating and drying) of tank wagons in private siding(s)/goods Sheds in case of
edible oil when there is change of product. These guidelines are valid upto 31.03.2024.
The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to extend the validity of above-mentioned
guidelines beyond 31.03.2024 for a period of one year i.e. upto 31.03.2025.
This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the concurrence of Finance
Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
