(ii)Board's letter o.TC-l/2021/109/3(3368295) dt.02.07.2024 
One of the Zonal Railway inter alia referring to Board's letters under reference has sought 
clarification with regard to rate of Detention Charge for load adjustment. 
As per Board's letter dt.28.08.2020 under reference (i), the slab wise rates prescribed for 
Demurrage Charge are not applicable for Detention Charge for load adjustment. It should be 
levied at the base rate of Demurrage Charge. However, already settled cases will not be re- 
opened.
