Sub: Exemption from mandatory (100%) weighment in case of containerized import
traffic
Ref: (i) Rates Circular No.13 of 2019
(ii)Rates Master CircularlWeighment/201910
Please refer to Para 3.3 of Board's circular under reference (ii) stipulating conditions for
permitting exemption from mandatory weighment in case of containerized import traffic.
Mis DP World has represented mentioning that they have established electronic data
interchange(EDI) connectivity with FOIS and have requested for permitting exemption from
mandatory weighment in case of containerized import traffic.
The matter has been examined and it has been decided to permit exemption from mandatory
weighment in case of containerized import traffic pertaining to Mis DP World as per the conditions
stipulated vide Para 3.3 of Board's circular under reference (ii).
Accordingly, name of "DP World" may be included in the list of CTOs under Para 3.3 of
Board's circular under reference (ii).
This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the concurrence
of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
