Sub: Wharfage and Stacking rules
Ref: Board’s letter No.TC-I/ 2005/201/2 Pt.B dt.8.3.2007 (circulating
Rates Circular No.21 of 2007)
‘Suggestions as regards increasing the advance stacking period have ben
_ received from certain Zonal Railways. .

. The matter has been examined and it has been decided that permission
_ may be granted for advance stacking for more than’ 5 days on case to case basis in -
_ Order to attract additional traffic and to increase Railways’ earnings

_..__ Accordingly an additional Para may be added below the Para 76 of Rates
Circular No.21 of 2007, as under: ne | _

“7.6.1 However, in exceptional cases where additional traffic and additional
earning will accrue, permission may be granted for advance stacking for
more than 5 days on case to case basis. Permission for advance stacking
for period upto 10 days must be granted with the approval of DRM on
recommendation of Sr.DCM & St.DOM, and for the period beyond 10
days with the approval of GM on recommendation of CCM & COM.”

These instructions will be effective from 25.8.2007.
