Sub : Connectivity to Religious and tourist places through rail network -reg.

Ministry of Railways has taken an initiative to transform India’s Tourism and
Religious travel landscape by enhancing connectivity to prominent tourist and religious
destinations which in turn will not only boost our Tourism industry but also promote
cultural heritage and Regional Development.

In this approach, tourism and religious circuits are planned to be created connecting
various religious and tourism sites on the same lines as Energy, Mineral, Cement Corridor,
Janjatiya Corridor, High Density Routes corridor, Rail Sagar Corridor etc.

In view of the above, Zonal Railways & IRCTC are requested to furnish their
remarks/comments on the proposed unconnected Tourist and Religious places as per the

following:
