Computerization of Railway reservation has been a success story for Indian Railways. Passenger Reservation System is the
world's largest online Railway reservation system that has been developed, implemented and maintained by Centre for
Railway Information Systems (CRIS).
Our Solution
CONCERT (Country-wide Network for Computerized
Enhanced reservation and Ticketing) is a mission critical
Online Transaction Processing Application based on a
distributed database model. It has been implemented
using 3 tier Client Server architecture with 4 data centres
at New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. These data
centres provide access to end user terminal locations in
their respective geographical territory. Besides other ICT
infrastructure, each of these data centres hosts database
for trains belonging to the Railway zones that come under
the specific data centre.

The Next Generation e-Ticketing (NGeT) System has
brought about a paradigm shift in online rail reservation
service simplifying day to day life of millions of citizens,
Railway being one of the most popular transport medium
and lifeline of our country. This system has about 04 crore
users spread all over the country and provides them the
facility of doing train berth/seat reservation from their
homes/offices or through mobile phones without requiring
to go to the rail reservation centres.
NGeT
To enhance travel experience and to bring greater
transparency for the Indian Railway passengers, the
Reservation Charts are now available for public view on
the internet. This will facilitate the prospective passengers
in getting the information of the vacant berths available in
the train after chart preparation. Complete information of
vacant berths from train source as well as intermediate
locations will be available to the user. Prospective
customer can use the information for onboard booking of
vacant berths by TTE as per business rules. This feature is
available in web as well as mobile version.

Indian Railway's e-ticketing System is one of the most
essential services running in the country today. It caters to
over 10 lakhs passengers daily (comprising 57 percent of
total reserved passengers) who can book Railways
reserved tickets without leaving their homes/offices. To
increase the ease to users, an Android & iOS based
mobile app for reserved booking "IRCTC Rail Connect"
has been developed to bring the power of Next Generation
E-ticketing System like High Performance and Enhanced
Security.

MANAGEMENT ENHANCED SYSTEM (PRIMES) is
developed with an objective of providing a one-stop
destination for all types of reports to Indian Railways
including MIS reports, DSS reports and analytics reports
for reserved passengers, unreserved passengers and
other IT systems of Indian Railways. PRIMES is available
to Railway officials with live data of PRS and some of the
