REF: Board’s Freight Marketing Circulars No. 07 of 2016 dated 27.06.2016, No. 03 of 2017 dated 17.03.2017, No. 12 of 2017 dated 09.10.2017, No. 02 of 2018 dated 24.01.2018, 19 of 2018 dated 06.07.2018 and No. 32 of 2018 dated 31.12.2018/01.01.2019. Vide Freight Marketing Circular No. 07 of 2016 dated 27.06.2016, charges for transportation of all animals, including wild animals & birds, in Parcel-vans and Brake-vans were revised, w.e.f. 15.07.2016, from Scale-‘L'+25% to ‘L’-Scale irrespective of the category of trains. The revised charges were initially applicable up to 30.03.2017 and after review, further extended from time to time, last being up to 30.06.2019 vide FM Circular No. 32 of 2018 dated 31.12.2018/01.01.2019. 2. The matter has been reviewed and the Ministry of Railways have now decided that the charges for transportation of all animals, including wild animals & birds, in Parcel-vans and Brake-vans shall henceforth be at Scale-‘L’+25% instead of at ‘L’-Scale. 3. No Free allowance shall be permissible in case of booking of animals/birds as luggage. 4. Apart from above, other charges like development charge, GST etc. shall be levied separately as per the instructions notified from time to time 5. Other terms and conditions for booking of animals including wild animals/birds will remain the same. 6. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways. 7.
