# Traffic Earnings comprises of:-
Passenger Earnings:-
(i) Issue of tickets for both PRS and UTS duly collecting either Cash or Vouchers viz military warrants,police warrants,credit notes,etc.
(ii) Issue of passenger tickets in the form of PCT,BPT and EFT (In lieu of BPT and PCT when not available).
Goods Earnings
Sundry Earnings

# Blank Paper Ticket - BPT (IRCM 210,211)
The tickets issued in exchange for concession orders,police warrants,etc.
The tickets are printed on watermarked paper and are serially numbered.
It is in book form with each book having 50 tickets.
The tickets has 3 foils - Accounts,Passenger and Record.
On receipt,each book is to be counted & certified that all the foils are intact.

# At the time of issue (using double-sided carbon) the following details are written:

Date of Issue
From and to station
Distance in Km
Class/Fare
Concession details
Child/Adult
Signature of the Booking clerk and station stamp
A foreign BPT will have a red waved band

Accountal of BPT:

# Two sets of passenger classifications are prepared.
One for accounting from the originating stations.
Another for accounting from the other stations.
The Grand total for both the classification will be taken to debit under the head ‘Passenger Classification’ in station balance sheet.

# Excess Fare Ticket - EFT (IRCM 212)
It is issued to passengers found travelling without tickets or with improper tickets by the checking staff in trains or at stations.
It is in book form and serially numbered.
Each book has 50 tickets, and each ticket has 3 foils (Accounts,Passenger,Record)
It is issued separately for local and foreign traffic
A foreign EFT will have a red waved band

# It is issued by Booking clerk for the following:
When printed card tickets are not available.
As duplicate ticket when the reserved ticket is lost.
In exchange for Guard’s certificate.

It is issued by TC staff for the following:
Ticketless travel/irregular travel.
Journey extension.
Change of class/route/train.
Unbooked luggage.
As duplicate ticket.

# Railway Travel Coupon - RTC (IRCM 271)
It is issued to mercantile firms, touring government officials,members of Legislative assemblies/councils,etc
It is exchanged at stations for ordinary tickets.
Coupons Issued by one railway are exchangeable at stations on other railways.

Accountal of RTC:

# It is supplied by the ticket printing office to Headquarters,Divisional office or certain selected stations
The sale of coupon books will be made & monthly return is submitted to TAO
The amount realised by the sale of coupon is accounted as sundry receipts

# VOUCHERS
The Vouchers will be received daily along with the cash remittance note by the stations in traffic accounts office.
Vouchers are of two type,namely-
Warrants and Credit notes (military & para-military)
Advices and statements received from departments (petty)

Bills payable in cash
Those adjustable through ‘Transfer Railways’ and through RBI
Those adjustable in the books of the home railway
