Sub: Classification of “Water for Industrial Use’.
Ref: IRCA Goods Tariff No.49, Pt-l (Vol.II); and Board’s Rates Circular No.06 of 2021
dated 15.02.2021 and corrigendum no. 01 dated 12.08.2021.
1.0 In terms of Board’s Rates Circular No.06 of 2021 dated 15.02.202, approval of
the Competent Authority was accorded to assign class 140A (trainload) and
packing condition P-2 for commodity “Water for Industrial use” valid up to
14.08.2021. In terms of corrigendum no. 01 dated 12.08.2021, the same was
extended up to 31.08.2022.
2.0 Matter has been reviewed, and it has been approved by the Competent Authority
to continue to charge “Water for Industrial use” beyond 31.08.2022 for further
period up to 31.08.2023.
3.0 This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the
concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
