Cell/Traflic/Policy dated 08.06.2018 (ii) 2015/TGV/12/3 dated 08.06,2017(Commercial CircularNo.39/2017) (iii) Letter No. 2024/TG-V/12/1 dt 29.01.2024 Please refer to the letter dated 08.06.2018 referred to above issued by ‘Transformation Cell of this office wherein it was inter-alia advised that:~ 1. In trains like Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto and other trains where a Train Superintendent (TS) is on end to end basis, 15 shall be nominated as “Train Captain” and made responsible for all the facilities on train. ii, All onboard railway personnel and supervisors of all outsourced agencies shall report to the train captain for effective control and supervision to ensure improvement in onboard services offered by Railways. ii, Zonal Railways shall issue necessary directives to all onboard staff to ensure strict compliance of directions of the train superintendent to address the issues concerning complaint free travel of passengers failing which action may be initiated against the staff not following directions of the Train Captain, iv. In all other trains where TS is not present, zonal Railways may nominate the senior most ticket checking staff travelling in the train as Train Superintendent who shall be responsible for all the facilities in the trains as mentioned above. +. The train superintendent must be provided with the mobile number of the onboard staff so that he/she is able to contact them whenever required. vi, During journey, onboard announcement at convenient timing must be ensured to provide the name and contact number of the Train Captain to the travelling passengers, 2.° In order to ensure close coordination among all onboard staff including the outsourced ones especially during emergency situations to provide immediate relief to the passengers, the instructions contained in the above mentioned letters must be implemented and all senior ticket checking staff must be made aware of the duties and responsibilities of Train Captain. 3. Attention is also invited to instructions dated 08.06.2017 (CC No. 39 of 2017) referred to above wherein duty list of train conductors was circulated to all zonal Railways. 2024/TG-V/12/1Pt. 1/3109201/ 2024 3.1... Para (19) of the duty list inter-alia stipulates the responsibilities of TC to take care of passenger amenities and cleanliness of the coaches with the help of OBHS staff. Further, para (24) of this list clearly states that Train Superintendent shall be overall in charge of the ‘TEs, coach attendants, amenities staff like electric, C&W, catering manager and catering staff on duty by the same train and will supervise their work. 4.
