The Magisterial
scheme for check and prevention
of ticketless
travel on
Indian Railways was last extended
upto 30.09.2007.

The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) have decided to extend the
scheme for a further
period from 30.09.2007
to 31.3.2008.
The posts of
Railway Magistrates may, therefore, be extended upto 31.3.2008.

The entire
cost of the
Railway
Magistrates,
their
court
staff
and
the
police
attached
to
them
should
be
borne
by
the
State
Governments
