Sub: Post facto sanction for withdrawal of Mela Surcharge Circulars,

Ref: 1. Commercial Circular no. 98 of 2006 dated 17.11.2006.
2. Commercial Circular no. 74 of 2012 dated 06.12.2012.
3. Commercial circular no. 24 of 2017 dated 24.03.2017,
4. Commercial Circular no.80 of 2017 of 12.12.2017.
5. Instructions vide letter no. TCII/2067/06/Mela surcharge/Part dated 11.12.2018.
6. Instructions vide letter no. TCII/2067/06/Mela Surcharge dated 11.12.2018.

Vide letter No. TCH/2067/06/Mela Surcharge dated 11.12.2018 administrative order was issued
to Zonal Railways to discontinue levy of mela surcharge with effect from11.12.2018. In continuation of
above letter Ministry of Railways hereby communicate post facto sanction for discontinuation of levy of

mela surcharge with effect from 11.12.2018.
