All Indian Railways Sub: Revision of Rate of Mela Surcharge Ref: Commercial Circulars No. 98 of 2066 dated 17:11.2006 and 74 of 2012 dated 06.12.2012 It has been decided to revise the rate of Mela surcharge w.e.f. 15.04.2017 as under:- a = Existing (Rs. Second (OrdyWE) | 5.00 Sleeper (Ordy/ M/E L 5.00 C Chair Car & AC 3-tier 70.00 First (Ordy/M/E) & AC 2-tier 15.00 AC First __ 20.00 - All other terms and conditions regarding levy of Mela Surcharge will remain the same. Necessary instructions may be issued to all staff concerned immediately. Wide publicity should also be given as regards revision of rate of Mela surcharge.
