No. TCI/2003/88/Rules () Reference Rule 127 (6) of IRCA Coaching Tariff No.
25, Part 1 (Vol-1) wherein it has been mentioned that the cancellation charges on
cancellation of passenger tickets shall be rounded off to nearest rupee ()
MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS HAVE DECIDED THAT, IN SUPERSESSIOM OF
THE ABOVE RULE, THE ROUNDING OFF RULE FOR CANCELLATION
CHARGES ON PASSENGER TICKETS WILL. BE SAME AS APPLICABLE
FOR GHARGING OF FARE VIDE RULE 127(8) OF THE SAME TARIFF (.)
Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned immediately (2 This

CRIS/PRS/Policy/221 Vol. Il, dt. 19.4.2002. As per Rule 127 (5) of IRCA
Coaching Tariff No. 25, Part | (Vol. )), the “Ordinary” fares of First, Second
and Sleeper Classes are to be rounded off nearest multipie of rupee. It
has been noticed from CRIS’ letter that this rule has not been quoted
correctly. The PRS software may be modified accordingly as per rule.

The rounding off rule for levying cancellation charges on passenger tickets
will be the same as applicable for charging of fare mentioned above.
