Tariff No. 25, Part. |, Vol. | as advised vide letter of even number dated
22.5.2001 regarding security deposit-cum-registration charges for chartered
IRCTC coaches (.) In modification of this rule, Ministry of Railways have further
decided that instead of depositing these charges again and again for individual
coaches, the IRCTC will have the option to deposit one time lumpsum amount of
Rs. One lakh as security deposit-cum-registration charges for IRCTC coaches to
be attached to regular trains (.) This amount will be in the name of Indian
Railways to be deposited with Northern Railway at New Delhi against a proper
Cash Receipt () This deposit will hold good for one year irrespective of the
Zonal Railway who allots the coach (.) At the time of booking the
coach/coaches on different zonal railways during the year, IRCTC will attach a
copy of the said Cash Receipt (.) At the end of the year, this amount will either
be refunded or renewed for one year at a time, as per the request of IRCTC (.)
No part of this amount shall be adjusted against fare for any booking (.) The
‘dues, if any, on account of cancellation of booking, detention, damages,
undercharges, etc. will be paid separately by IRCTC to the concerned Zonal
Railway on demand (.) This issues with the concurrence of Finance Dte of
