Ministry of Railways have decided to run Premium Holiday Special Trains during winter season of 2001-2002 (.) The basic fares for different classes of these trains will be 10% higher than the Mail/Express fare notified in the fare table () The superfast surcharge & reservation fee (wherever applicable) and safety surcharge will be levied : additionally (.) The total fare thus obtained will be rounded off to next higher. multiple of Rs. 5 (.) These Premium Holiday Specials will run at a speed higher than superfast trains and average speed may be fixed at more than 60 Krmph (.) These trains would generally run end to end and number of halts will be limited (.) Mineral water and newspaper will be supplied in AC Classes for which Catering & Tourism Directorate will issue separate instructions (.) Coaching Directorate of this Ministry wil! issue separate instructions identifying the trains, their routes & stoppages, timings, etc. (.) As in the case of other normal Mail/Express trains, Railway Passes/PTOs will be permitted in these trains also (.). The concessions, wherever admissible, will be granted on the basic fares (including 10% increase) of these trains (.)This issues with the concurrence of Finance Dte of Ministry of Railways (.)
