(Commercial Circular No. 65 of 2008) > Sub: Earmarking of ‘Ladies Quota’ in modified high capacity sleeper class coaches. ं 1. As per extant practice, in sleeper class a compartment of six berths in a coach or in some trains one compartment each in two coaches are being earmarked for women irrespective of their age and/or travelling alone or in group. 2. Central Railway has suggested that the number of berths to be earmarked for ladies quota in the modified high capacity sleeper class coaches be increased to 9. 3. The matter has been examined and it has been decided that existing practice of earmarking six berths compartment in sleeper class coaches as mentioned in para 1 above will continue even in modified high capacity sleeper class coaches and these berths should be earmarked in the third bay of the coach. ov BS _ (Sanjay Manocha) Dy.
