Sub: Revision in Fares of AC दिया पी et AG classes of Duronto Express at par with of Duronto Express at par witb

Raidhani/Shatabdi Express for comparable classes w.e.f 10.10.2013, Express for comparable classes w.e.f 10.10.2013.

Ministry of Railways have decided to further revise the fares of AC classes
of Duronto Expresses at par with Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express for comparable classes
w.é@.f 10.10.2013 as per revised Fare Table for Duronto services effective from
10.10.2013. .

2. There shall be no change in the fares of sleeper class and non-AC Chair Car.
classes of Duronto Express.

3. The changes in fares as above shall come into force w.e.f 10.10.2013.

4. In the case of tickets already issued at pre-revised rates, it should be ensured

that the difference in fares and other charges is recovered on or after 10.10.2013
either by TTEs on the trains or by the Booking/Reservation Offices before the
commencement of journey by passengers. Commercial Inspectors and TIAs should
visit all important stations and ensure that fares and other charges are levied and
tickets issued as per the revised rates. Commercial Officers should also make
surprise checks at stations and ensure that the fares and other charges are levied
with effect from 10.10.2013 at the revised rates, The Fare List displayed to the
public at stations should be revised and corrected showing the new fares for duronto
Express with effect from 10.10.2013.

5. The changes which are required to be carried out in Computerised
Reservation Ticketing system should be ensured by CRIS and Zonal Railways.

6. Special arrangements should be made to ensure that necessary instructions

_and the revised Fare Tables for Duronto Express services should reach the staff well

in time. Steps should also be taken to ensure that the staff fully understand these
changes and implement them properly.

7. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of
Railways. .
8. The receipt of this letter may be acknowledged. Also please check these

instructions on the Indian Railways ‘website - www. indianrailways.gov.in. ‘

9. Zonal Railways should arrange wide publicity to the revision in fares of AC
classes of Duronto Express w.e.f.10.10.2013 amd related instructions through the
press, media and through notifications and announcements L tations.
