The Magisterial scheme for check and prevention of tlcketless travel on
Indian Railways was last extended upto 31.3.2006.

The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) have decided to extend the
scheme for a further period of one year I.e. from 1.4.2006 to 31.3.2007.
The
posts of RailwayM.aglStrates may, therefore, be extended upto 31.3.2007.

Checklng/1036/1. dated 20.8.1982,
the entire cost. of Magistrates, their court
staff and the pOlice force attached
to them should be borne by the State
Governments and the t1nes should be credited to them.
This may be ensured.
