Sub: Allotment of STD/ISD/PCO/FAX/Internet Booths to
Blind Persons.

Please refer to Board's letter No. 2CQ0/TG-IV/10/P/PCO/TATA
dt. 28.4.2000 wherein the detailed policy guidelines for allotment of
STD/ISD/PCO Booths have been issued. Shii S. K. Rungta, General
Secretary, National Federation of the Blind, have requested that
while considering the applications for allotment of
STD/ISD/PCO/FAX/Internet Booths, blind persons should also be
considered under the category of physically handicapped persons.

The matter has beer examined in detail and it has been
decided that the blind persons should also be considered for
allotment of these booths under the earmarked 2 % quota for
physically handicapped persons.
