Sub: Currency of Commercial Contracts
During the
CCMs meeting
held in Railway Board office
on
4
12.11.2010 to discussthe progress of commercial publicity, some of the
Railways had raised the issue that the currency of the commercial
publicity contracts may straightaway be increased to 5 years.
The matter has been examined and it is seenthat vide para 1(i) of
Commercial Circular No. 36/2006,
the
period
of
contracts
for
..
commercial publicity for entire division
has already been permitted for
5 years. For other contracts of commercial publicity also, the period of
\..~..~
contracts has been permitted
for 3 to 5 years as per Commercial
Circulars Nos.24 of 2000 and 90 of 2006.
It is, therefore, clarified that
existing policy provides for executing commerCial publicity contracts
upto 5 years.
Zonal Railways may take action accordingly.
