The Ministryof Railways (Railway Board) have decided to extend the scheme for a further period of one year from 01.10.2008 to 30.9.2009. The posts of RailwayMagistrates may. therefore, be extended upto 30.92009. 3. In terms of Option (II) of Ministryof Home Affairsletter No.9/7/79-Judl- Cell dated 14.7.1984 the entire cost of the Railway Magistrates. their court staff and the police attached to them should be borne by the State Governments and judicial fine also be credited to them.
