Sub: Reservation on Phone by Members of Parliament -
Improvement in System.
Membersof Parliament(MPs) have been allowed to book their
re$ervationon Phone. A numberof instanceshave come to noticewhere
thisfacilityhas beenmisusedby unscrupulouselements. Accordingly,the
matter has been reviewed in this office and it has been decided as under: -
i)
Zonal Railways will notify the telephone numbers, of
Important PRS locations where CRS/ACM will handle
requestof Hon'ble MPs on telephonefor reservationof their
journeys. A listof suchtelephonenumbersshouldbe sentto
this office within 10 days for onward submission to Lok
SabhalRajya Sabha Secretariats. Any change of number
shouldalsobe intimatedimmediately.

Such telephone numbers should be provided with Caller ID.
m)
CRS/ACM will maintain a register of such requests made on
telephone as well as telephone number from which the
request has been made by Hon'ble MP.
The Hon'ble MP
should be requested to send a written confirmation within 24
hours
of making the telephone
request
as per
extant
instructions.
Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned.
