(COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NO.35 OF 2011) Sub: Booking in the names of Members of Parliament by unscrupulous elements. Ref: Railway,Board's letter No.2006ffG-I/201P dated 17.07.2006 (Commercial Circular No.58 of 2006) Complaints continue to be received from the Hon'ble MPs regarding booking of reserved accommodation in"the names of Members of Parliament by " ,unscrupulous elements. In a reference from an Hon'ble MP, request has been made for an enquiry with suitable directions to arrest/eliminate the trend. " 2. In this connection, please refer to this office -letter No.2006/TG.I/20/P dated-17.07.2006(Commercial Circular No.58 of 2006) wherein zonal Railways '..ere advised the procedure to be followed for handling reservation on phone of --,Members of Parliament and zonal Railways were inter-alia requested to notify the telephone numbers of important computerised Passenger Reservation System(PRS) locations where Chief Reservation Supervisor(CRS)/Assistant Commercial Manager(ACM) will handle request of Hon'ble MPs on telephone : \-for reservation of their journeys. It was also requested that such phones should be provided with Caller ID. 3. Zonal Railways are requested to: (i) Confilm that ~ the procedure to be followed for handling reservation on phone by Members of Parliament is being followed; ~ the telephone numbers of important computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) locations where Chief Reservation Supervisor (CRS)/Assistant Commercial Manager(ACM) will handle request of Hon'ble MPs on telephone for reservation of their journeys have been notified; ~ and such phones have been provided with Caller 10.
