' (Commercial Circular No.51of 2006) Sub: Reservation on Phone by Members of Parliament - Improvement in System. Membersof Parliament(MPs) have been allowed to book their re$ervationon Phone. A numberof instanceshave come to noticewhere thisfacilityhas beenmisusedby unscrupulouselements. Accordingly,the matter has been reviewed in this office and it has been decided as under: - i) Zonal Railways will notify the telephone numbers, of Important PRS locations where CRS/ACM will handle requestof Hon'ble MPs on telephonefor reservationof their journeys. A listof suchtelephonenumbersshouldbe sentto this office within 10 days for onward submission to Lok SabhalRajya Sabha Secretariats. Any change of number shouldalsobe intimatedimmediately. " ii) Such telephone numbers should be provided with Caller ID. m) CRS/ACM will maintain a register of such requests made on telephone as well as telephone number from which the request has been made by Hon'ble MP. The Hon'ble MP should be requested to send a written confirmation within 24 hours of making the telephone request as per extant instructions.
