IzzatMST--Issueof IncomeCertificateby MLAs
Reference Board's letter of even number dated 24.5.2011 (Commercial Circular No 21
of2011), wherein it was decided that w.e.f 1.7.2011, the income certificates issued by Members
of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) of various States and Union Territories will also be accepted
for issue of Izzat MSTs subject to certain conditions.
The above provision was valid for a
period of three months only i.e. upto 30.9.2011.

It has been decided that the authority of issuing income certificates by Members of
Legislative Assemblies for the purpose of issuing Izzat MSTs for persons working in
unorganized sectors may be extended for one year i.e. upto 30.9.2012. However, it should be
ensured that income certificates issued by MLAs are accepted, subject to the following
conditions:-
(0
The MLAs should issue income certificates
to persons belonging to their
constituencies only; and
(ii) The income certificate issued by MLAs is for one-time use only, ie. a fresh income
. certificate from the concerned MLA will be required every time the concerned person
approaches the Station for purchase of Izzat MST.

Thisissueswiththe concurrenceofthe FinanceDirectorateof the Ministryof Railways.
4.
Wide publicitythroughvariousmedia maybe given at regular intervals. Necessary
instructionsmaybe issuedto all concernedimmediatelyand implementationensured.
