Sub: Allowing ticket checking staff to permit the passengers to board Suvidha Express
in case vacant accommodation is still available after the stopping of booking at
current reservation counter.

Please refer to this office letter No.TC-II/2910/2013/Dynamic Pricing/C dated 02.06.2015 (Commercial
Circular No.33/2015 dated 02.06.2015) wherein the details about running of Suvidha Trains were circulated to ail
Zonal Rallways. It was inter-alia advised: that the vacant accommodation in trains after preparation of reservation
charts can be booked at the current counter of the train originating station at the last price sold for that class and
other supplementary charges like reservation fee, superfast charges, service tax, if applicable etc to be levied in full
Instances were, however, brought to. notice where after departure of train, although accommodation was available
but the same could not be offered to the passengers available at road side station as no clear cut guidelines were
available on this account
2. The. matter has been examined in consultation with Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways and it has
been decided'as under.
> if vacant berths are available in Suvidha Trains after preparation of charts, first these berths
should be made available at the current counter for booking at the train originating stations for
booking on first come first serve basis at the last price sold for that class after levying of
supplementary charges in full.
> After booking at the current counter has been stopped and vacant accommodation is still
available, the onboard ticket checking staff should be authorized to allow passengers, at train
originating station fo board the train on. the authority of prescribed minimum class of ticket
required for that class and on realization of difference, between fare indicated on the ticket and
the last price sold for that class in Suvidha trains, along with other supplementary charges, to be -
levied in full
>» For booking from intermediate station against vacant accommodation available on board ticket
checking staff may.be allowed to book passengers on the same pattern
> The passenger should purchase minimum class of tickets, as indicated below, both at
originating and intermediate station, from general booking counter, before boarding permission
is granted by on-board ticket checking staff. Under no circumstances passenger should hoard
the reserved coaches without the permission of onboard ticket checking staff
