Sub. Corrigendum to Circular No.107 of 2006 issued vide Board’s
letter No.06/TGIV/10/SAN/ Sanitation Policy.

With reference to Board’s Commercial Circular No. 107 of 2006
(Revised) regarding guidelines for sanitation & cleanliness, the following
issue has been reviewed and decided to be notified as under:

1. Para 2 (c) of Commercial Circular No. 107 of 2006 (Revised) regarding _
cleaning of stations through station imprest, will now be read as under:

2(c): The Station Supdt./Station Managers should be provided with
adequate cash imprest for cleaning of station by invoking para 1(d) of the
Board’s letters no. 99/TG-IV/10/Sanitation Policy dated 05.11.2002 and No.
2006/TG-IV/10/Sanitation Policy dated 04.01.2007. In addition to the

existing arrangement at C, D & E category of stations for ensuring cleaning

through utilization of imprest or departmental staff, option of outsourcing
the cleaning work of C, D है E categories of-station should be considered.

Adequate powers for awarding contracts for cleanliness at these
stations should be delegated to the DRMs. Wherever it is considered
necessary, Division may outsource cleanliness activities of cluster of two or
more contiguous C, D & E category stations under a single contract.

In case of outsourcing of cleaning work at a station, the departmental
safaiwala (staff) posted at the station should be redeployed elsewhere.

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of this
Ministry.
