Commercial Circular no.38 of 2018 dated 13.07.2018. Ministry of Railways have decided to rationalise the flexi fare scheme in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains as under:- 1. Discontinuation of Flexi fare scheme from trains having monthly occupancy of less than 50% throughout the previous year. (List of trains is enclosed at Annexure-!) 2. Discontinuation of Flexi-fare scheme, during pre-defined lean period (February, March & August) in trains having monthly occupancy between 50% to 75% throughout the previous year. (List of trains is enclosed at Annexure-I|) 3. Continuation of Flexi fare scheme in trains where monthly occupancy is more than 75% throughout the previous year, 4. Maximum cap of flexi fare shall be 1.4 times in all classes (except 1AC, EC, EA where no flexi fare system exists at present), 5. In case of Flexi-fare and Humsafar trains where class wise occupancy is less than 60%, four days prior to scheduled departure of the train. Graded discount based on occupancy may be given as under:- Occupancy _| ae 7 ली Upto 70% : 20% on last fare | 70% to 80% 10% on last fare Above 80% [ Nil This shall however, be subject to charging of minimum basic fare and other applicable supplementary charges. PC-5 AIl-JP DISCOUNTED FARE de A> rn bd 2/- -2- * Graded discount shall be admissible for all classes (except 1AC, EC, EA) of flexi fare trains and in Humsafar trains. ) e This discounted scheme shall not be applicable for the particular section, where discounted fare scheme has already been introduced in Shatabdi trains (Bengaluru- Mysuru-Bengaluru, New Jalpaiguri-Malda Town and Ahmedabad-Vadodara section etc.) and in the downgraded class like 3AC to AC Chair car and sleeper to second class as decided by Zonal Railways. Graded discount scheme shall not be applicable for the concessional ticket passengers. e The graded discount shall be given to all current flexi fare trains including the ones which shall be removed from the ambit of flexi fare scheme and Humsafar trains. e 10% rebate scheme after preparation of first chart shall continue to be given. ¢ Other charges shall be levied separately 6. All other terms and conditions relating above categories of trains shall continue to apply. 7. Above changes shall come into effect w.e.f. 15.03.2019 on an experimental basis for a period of six months. 8. Zonal Railways shall furnish train wise report latest by 14.08.2019 to consider further extension of the scheme. 9. CRIS shall carry out necessary changes in software. 10. Each Zonal Railway shall ensure that details of changes is known to all concerned staff, well in advance. ' . 11. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways. 12.
