Please refer to this office letter of even number dated 24-05-2902 (Commercial
Cireular No.41 of 2002) on the subject quoted above enclosing therewith. a copy of Joint
Procedtire Order (JPO) for reservation on Internet through IRCTC.
in para 20 of the JPO mentioned above, it has been vlat advised that
IRCTC’s account will be credited by suitable entry into the software af soon as cheque is
received by CCM/PM. A letter has been received in this regard from IRCTC wherein it
has been advised that (hey have to follow 4 cumbersome procedure wherein afer giving
the cheque to ACM/R they have 10 send their persdn fo RBI who takes the proof of
depositing cheque with RBI and given it to ACM who updates (hé server for necessary
amount. |
॥ is, therefore, reiterated that on receipt of cheque from IRCTC, IRCTC’s
account will be credited by suitable entry into the software. It has also been decided that
the limit of Jump sum deposit to be deposited by IRCTC: may be enhanced from Rs.20
lakhs to Rs.80 lakhs and (he cut of level may be raiséd to Rs. lakhs,; As and when the
cut off level of Rs.5 lakhs is reached, IRCTC shall renew the deposit.
