TCII/2197/99/Police Award (.) Reference S.No. 46 of Annexure to rule no 101 of IRCA
Coaching Tariff No. 25 Part-I (Vol. II), regarding concession to Police Personnel of 60 years
and above who have received President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, as amended
vide letter of even number dated 16.7.2009 (.) Ministry of Railways have decided to further
extend this concession to Police Personnel of 60 years and above who have received
Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service (.) The element of concession shall be (i)
50% for men and (ii) 60% for women (.) This concession will be admissible in basic fares of
Mail/Express trains of all classes and in the all-inclusive fares of Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Jan
Shatabdi trains (.) This concession will be admissible on tickets purchased on or after 1.9.2009
(.) In cases of tickets already issued for travel on & after 1.9.2009, refund of difference of fares
will not be admissible (.) This concession will not be admissible in Garib Rath trains (.) All
other terms and conditions applicable to grant of concession to President’s Police Medal for
Distinguished Service would be applicable for grant of this concession also (.) This issues with
the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways (.) Wide publicity
through various media may be given at regular intervals (.) Necessary instructions may be
issued to all concerned immediately and implementation ensured (.) Matter most urgent (.) Dr.
