TCII/2197/99/Police Award (.) As per S.No. 46 of Annexure to rule no 101 of IRCA
Coaching Tariff No. 25 Part-I (Vol. II), Police Personnel of 60 years and above who have
received President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service are eligible for 30%
concession in basic Mail/Express fares of all classes and in the fares of Rajdhani/Shatabdi
trains (.) As announced by Hon’ble MR on 9.7.2009 in the Budget discussion for 2009-10
In Lok Sabha, Ministry of Railways have decided to enhance the concession for
Police Personnel of 60 years and above who have received President’s Police Medal
for Distinguished Service (.) The element of concession is (i) 50% for men and (ii)
60% for women (.) This concession will be admissible in basic fares of Mail/Express
trains of all classes and in the all-inclusive fares of Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Jan Shatabdi
trains (.) This concession will be admissible on tickets purchased on or after
15.8.2009 (.) In cases of tickets already issued for travel on & after 15.8.2009, refund of
difference of fares will not be admissible (.) This concession will not be admissible in Garib
Rath trains (.) There is no change in other terms and condition (.) This issues with the
concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways (.) Wide publicity
through various media may be given at regular intervals (.) Necessary instructions may be
issued to all concerned immediately and implementation ensured (.) Matter most urgent (.)
