Sub:- Amendment in the para 2406 (b) of chapter XXIV of IRCM Volume-t! ae As per guidelines issued by Reserve Bank of India dated 01.07.2015, Para 2406 (b) of chapter XXIV of IRCM Volume-ll should be replaced as under:- - Para 2405 (b): “Notes deterrnined as counterfeit shall : be stamped as" COUNTERFEIT NOTE” and impounded as per the prescribed format (Annexure-l), Each such impounded note shall be recorded under authentication, in a separate register.” Further when a bank note teridered at the booking office/reservation counter/public dealing counters etc., is found to be counterfeit, an acknowledgment receipt in the prescribed format (Annexure-ll) must be issued to the tenderer, after stamping the note. The ' receipt, in running serial numbers, should be authenticated by the railway staff and tenderer Notice to this effect should be displayed prominently at-the booking offices/reservation ‘offices etc., for information of the public. The receipt is to be issued even in cases where the tenderer is unwilling to. countersign it 2. There shall be no change in the other provisions issued from time.to time for detection _ of counterfeit note 3. The above should be implemented w.e.f 15.06.2017. 4. This issues with the concurrence of Finance directorate of Ministry of Railways. 5, Zonal railways shall ensure that wide publicity is given through the press, media and also through notifications and announcements at stations. . ः ; ‘ कि a : .
