As announced by MR on’-6:7.2004 in his Budget Speech for 2004-05, Ministry of Railways have decided to grant 75% concession in Second and Sleeper classes to Widows of Defence personnel killed in action against Terrorists & Extremists... की अल : 2. Concession shall be granted directly by Station Managers on submitting a photo-copy of identity Gard issued by District Sainik Boards, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Attestation of photo copy of Identity Card is not necessary. The identity Card wilk*'contain: (i) photograph, name, date of birth/age & Signature/Thumb impression of the concerned widow, (ii) Husband’s name, rank, _ Battalion number & date of death and (iii) a certification that the holder is widow ofthe defence personnel! killed in action against terrorists & extremists. The . - griginal Identity Card: will be produced for inspection at the. time of purchasing ticket and ‘also during journey when demanded by Railway officials, ) 3, The concession will be admissible without any distance limit, subject to the _ “distance restri¢tion otherwise applicable in individual Mail/Express trains. The ~~.” eoncession will be admissible in basic Mail/Express fares only ‘and not in other charges, like reservation fee, superfast surcharge, safety surcharge, etc., which ~* ghall be recovered in full as per existing rules. The ticket shall be endorsed accordingly. . Concession will be admissible . subject to other conditions mentioned in rule 101 of IRCA Coaching Tariff No. 25 Part. 1 (Vol. I). 4. This concession may_be introduced for tickets issued from 6.9 2004. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
