Sub: Replacement of furniture in waiting’rooms and retiring
rooms. | .

The question of improving the condition of waiting & retiring

rooms has been under consideration of the Board. Board have now decided
that since the improvement in these rooms is one of the items identified for
upgradation of passenger amenities, furniture in such rooms may be replaced
on priority wherever warranted on age-cum-condition basis by making the
necessary funds available under the revenue budgel. GMs in consultation with
their FA & CAOs may also consider delegating necessary powers for
condemnation and procurement of furniture to DRMs for wailing and retiring
rooms at stations
