Sub: Grant of concession to escort accompanying Deaf & Dumb persons (both
% afflictions together in the same person)
As per S.No. 28 of Annexure to rule 107 of IRCA Coaching Tariff No, 25, Part |
(Vol. li), Deaf & Dumb persons (both afflictions together in the same person) are eligible
for concession in train fares, subject to certain conditions... Presently there is no
provision of concession to escort accompanying such a person. -

Railways have décided that one escort, if accompanying # Totally. Deaf & Dumb Person
(bath afflictions together in the same person), will also be granted concession. The
element of concession will be the same as admissible to a Deaf & Dumb person. When
concession has been granted for escort also, combined ticket shall be issued for the
Deaf & Dumb person and the escort.’ In the case of Deaf & Dumb child under 5 years of
age (who is otherwise eligible for free travel), the escort accompanying the child shall be
eligible for this concession. Concession to the escort accompanying such a person will
be admissible on single journey tickets as well as season tickets.

tickets issued from 6.9.2004. ~ ° है
4. This issues with the con urrenice of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways
. Wide publicity through various media may be given at regular intervais. Necessary
_ingtructions may be issued to--all. concerned, including. PRSs, immediately and
implementation ensured. There is no. change in other conditigns, including percentage
of concession, class of entitlement, etc.;.for grant of Lb.
