. Sub: Provision of travel Concession to Patients - when travelling in Jan Shatabdi -
ः Express trains.

As per Rule concession in fare is given to different categories of eligible patients. The
element of concessions and eligibility varies for the different categories of patients.

Ministry of Railways have now decided to grant concession in second class and AC chair
car of Jan Shatabdi trains to Patients who are already eligible to travel in second class and AC chair
car of Mail/Express trains.

A patient who is at present eligible to travel in second class of mail/Express trains only in
that case, he shall only be eligible in second class of Jan Shatabdi trains.

. Ifa patient who is not eligible at present to travel in either second class or AC chair car of
Mail/Express trains in that case such patient shall not be eligible for concession in Jan Shatabdi
trains. ,

2. The above should be implemented w.e.f 15.05.2017

3. Other terms and conditions shall remain the same.

- 4. CRIS may make necessary changes in the software.

5. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.

6, ‘Necessary instructions shall be issued to the all concerned. en |
