Sub: Imprest for petty repairs at stations,

Ministry of Railways have decided that in order to meet the emergent
expenditure, an imprest of Rs 1000/» shall be made available at the disposal of the Station
Manager/Station Supdt. of all ‘A’class stations only,

The Station Manager/Station Supdt. will use this imprest for getting petty
repairs done for items auch as minor repair of taps, change of fused buibs, repair of wheel
chairs, immediate requirement of consumables for sanitation, procurement of water
mutkas and other miscellaneous petty repair. Each item of expenditure should not exceed
Rs. 200/-. .

The Station Manager/Station Supdt., who will control the imprest, will
send the return in Divisional Accounts office with ali the relevant vouchers for
recoupment of imprest and.on no account station camings be used to recoup the imprest.
