introduction/extension
of
e-ticketing
scheme.

In
the
instructions referred to above, it has been advised that the staff
concerned may be educated about the e-ticket so as to
ensure that no complaints on account of ignorance of the
scheme particularly by ticket checking staff is received.
However, complaints are still being received where TTEs
are not accepting e-tickets as the valid authority to travel.
Board has taken a very serious view of this.

It is, therefore, desired that all concerned staff
particularly ticket checking staff may be suitably educated
about the important features of e-ticket scheme. The proforma
of e-ticket (copy enclosed) should also be shown to each TTE
and their signatures obtained to the fact that they have
understood the features of the scheme. Any complaints on this
account should be viewed very seriously. Compliance report
may be sent to this office by 15th March, 2006.
