Sub: Extension of e-ticketing Scheme.
Please refer to this office letters of even number dated 22.12.2004
(Commercial Circular No.49 of 2004), 26/10/2005 & 09/12/2005
(Commercial Circular No.49 of 2005) regarding introduction/ extension of
e- ticketing scheme. The matter has been further reviewed and it has been
decided that the scheme may be further extended to all remaining Mail
Express trains w.e.f 15.3.2006.
Necessary arrangements may be made accordingly. Suitable
instructions may be issued to all the staff concerned both at the train
originating and enroute stations and also the train manning staff about the
salient features of the scheme so that no inconvenience is caused to the
bonafide passengers. The detailed features of the scheme can also be seen on
the website of IRCTC i.e. www.irctc.co.in Wide publicity should be given
by IRCTC and zonal railways about the scheme for the information of
general public. Staff involved in harassment of e-ticket users should be dealt
with strictly and ensuring no complaints on account of ignorance of the
scheme particularly by ticket checking staff.
