Commercial Circular No.171 of 2022 Draft Notification for TRC No.07 of 2022 Sub:- Freight for utilization of NMG rakes for transporting parcel traffic. Ref:- 1. Railway Board Lr No.TC-II/2046/2022/Parcel-NMG-Charges dated 11.07.2022. (Rly Bd. FM Circular No. 14/2022) 2. Railway Board Lr No.TC(FM)/11/08 dated 09.03.2021 Authority: Railway Board Lr No. TC-II/2046/2022/Parcel-NMG-Charges dated 11.07.2022 (Rly Bd. FM Circular No. 14/2022) <><><> Railway Board, vide letter under reference-2, have permitted loading of parcels in NMG rakes (including variants of NMG, such as NUGH and NMGHS). Competent Authority/Railway Board have now decided that in case of loading of parcel traffic in NMG (including its variants), the freight shall be charged at 20% above the P-scale — i.e. at P-scale plus 20%. This is, however, subject to the condition that loading of parcel in NMG (including variants of NMG, such as NMGH and NMGHS) shall not affect automatic traffic at any point of time. As for free-time for loading / unloading, demurrage, wharfage and stacking charges, the rules applicable on indented parcel trains shall also be applicable on NMG rakes being used for transportation of parcels. : The above may be implemented with immediate effect on an experimental basis for a period of one year. Divisional Railways shall furnish details to Headquarters for onward submission to Railway Board, regarding utilization of NMG rakes for parcel traffic along with earnings after six-month intervals for further review.
