Sub: Time limit for issuing unreserved tickets through UTS.

As per extant instructions unreserved tickets can be issued through
Unreserved Ticket System (UTS) upto three days in advance. Clarifications
are being sought by Zonal Railway as to whether the limit of three days for
issuing of unreserved tickets through UTS should be applicable irrespective
of distance or in case of tickets for short distances, the restriction of issuing
the ticket on the same date may be imposed.

The matter has been examined and it has been decided that unreserved
tickets issued through UTS, involving journey upto 200 Kms should be
issued on the same day and those involving journey of more than 200 Kms
should be issued upto three days in advance excluding the day of journey.
Necessary action may be taken to send intimation to all concerned.
