Ref 1. Board's letter of even no, dated: 5.4.2002 (Con. Circular No. 25 of 2002) . 2. IRCEC's letter no.C.35836)1-1458.Jan Shat Dt30.7.02 3, 2002HIRCTC/Catg.Jan 500, Dt: 7.11.2002 The question of fixing uniform Sicence fee for Jan Shatabdi Express trains on all zonal rathwas's was under consideration of the Ministry of Railways. IRCSC vide their letter dated: 7.11.02 has also submitted that there shall be no separate licence Lee for items sold through “Rail Mart” since thev have taken care of sale of ilems through Rail Mart in the concession fee. 2. The matter has been examined in consultation with Finance Dte. of Railway Board and it has been decided that 12 ° of Sales Turnover shall be charged uniformly on all Zonal Railways as Licence fee for all Jan Shatabdi trains since the menu of cach services of Jan Shatabdi train is based on standard casserole meals. breakfast’tea: coffee prescribed to mobile pantry var services (other than’ Rajdhani-Shatabui Express trains) vide Board's letter No.98 TG.UL 631-13 di: 24.6.99 read with Board's letter No. 99. दफा 6007 dated:28,3.2006. However. it has been decided that till the issue of licence fee for “Rail Mart” is resolved, Zona! Railways may continue to charge 12% licence fee on ‘a-la-carte‘items sold through “Rat! Mart”. 3, some of the Zonal Railways have also raised the issue of 7९० cushion in. the apporlionment of catering charges for Jan Shatabdi trains. It is to clartty that since the apportionment of catering charges included in the ticket fare was fixed in terms of para 4 of Board's letter of even no. dated: हि 02 which is exclusively based on average cost of total number of services provided in each direction which is without 7% cushion, the question of including 7९० cushion dues not arise. The provision for this component of 7°o is applicable only to Rajdhani & Shatabdi trains. This tssues with the concurrence of Finance Dte, of Railway Board.
