Sub: Earmarking of accommodation for women passengers in all
Passenger and Local trains in the middle of the train

The Cabinet Committee on Empowerment of Women (2014-15) in their
fifth reports (Sixteenth Lok Sabha) have urged the Railways to examine the

- possibility of moving the ladies’ coaches in all Passenger and Local trains to the

middle of the train.

2. In view of the recommendation of the Committee, it has been decided that
to the extent feasible in all Passenger and Local trains, unreserved accommodation
for women passengers should be earmarked in the middle of the train. There will,

however, be no change in case of suburban train,

3. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned. Any remarshalling,

if proposed, should be with the written consent of the concerned CPTMs.
4, Wide publicity may be given through all possible means to make general

public aware of these changes

विषय: सभी. यात्री और लोकल गाड़ियों के बीच के डिब्बों में महिला यात्रियों के लिए
स्थान निर्धारित करना।

महिला सशक्तिकरण संबंधी मंत्रीमंडल समिति (2014-15) ने अपनी पांचवीं रिपोर्ट
(सोलहवीं लोक सभा) में रेलवे से अनुरोध किया है कि सभी यात्री और लोकल गाड़ियों के बीच में
महिला डिब्बों wt चलाने की संभाव्यता की जांच की जाए।

2. समिति की सिफारिशों को देखते हुए, यह विनिश्चय किया गया है कि जहां तक
व्यावहारिक हो सभी यात्री और लोकल गाड़ियों में महिला यात्रियों के लिए अनारक्षित स्थान का
निर्धारण गाड़ी के dra के डिब्बे A किया जाना चाहिए। बहरहाल, उपनगरीय गाड़ी के मामले में
कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होगा।

3... सभी संबंधितों को आवश्यक अनुदेश जारी किए जाएं। यदि क्रमबद्धता A परिवर्तन करने
का प्रस्ताव हो तो इसे संबंधित सीपीटीएम की लिखित सहमति से किया जाना चाहिए।

4. इन पंरिवर्तनों के बारे में आम जनता को सूचित करने के लिए सभी संभव साधनों के
जरिए इसका व्यापक प्रचार किया जाए।
