(Commercial Circular No.16) Circular No.16

Sub:- Provision of separate ticket counters for ladies, elderly &
differently abled persons at suburban stations.

In their 23 Report of the Standing Committee on Railways on
“Suburban Train Services on Indian Railways, with particular emphasis
on Security of Women Passengers”, the Committee has suggested that
“considering the ever increasing the rush at the platforms, the
Committee believe that it is high time for the Ministry of Railways to
issue instructions in the direction of providing separate booking
counters for ladies, elderly and differently abled commuters at all the
suburban stations near the entrance to the stations premises.”

Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) desire that the nro may
make assessment in this regard and based on the assessment needful
may be done.
