Central ‘Ticket Checking Squad of Railway Board is functioning as a
specialist body to coordinate the acti vilies of ticket checking... The squad also
Bains Importance due to the utmost necessity of monitoring and coordinating
Various field functions. In addition, the staff is used for monitoring on-board
services for bringin 8 about overall improvement in: the on-board services
corunensurate with the increasing expectations of the travelling public,

Z. The above duties entail a lot of responsibility and field knowledge
which can only be garnered through long years of working on the Railways.
It is often noticed that the Railways while recommending the names of staff
for inclusion in the CTC Squad are sending the names of statf who are
Working in a low prade and without much experience of field working

3. has. therefore, desired that the Railways while recommending
candid: es for inclusion in the CTC! Squad should follow the following
Buidel es:-

\.) Only suitable and efficient ticket checking staff with?” , _
sufficient field experience should be recommended;

(i) They should be in the grades of Rs.5000-8006 and above,

(il) There should be no SPE/Vj gilance/D&AR Cases against
them. =

(iv) Their reputation must be above beard and this must be.
specifically mentioned by their branch officers; —

(v) Besides the above, the staff short-listed by the Zonal .
Railway should bave an aptitude and flair for conducting
checks regarding on-board services and should have
ability to drali and submit brief reports, Comments of
the Railway on this respect are mandatory.

(vi) The recommendation of staff for inclusion in the Squad
should be made by an officer not below Branch Officers’
levels in the Division and JA grade at HQ level. and the
recommendation should invariably state that the person
is fit in all respects for inclusion in the CTC Squad. 4
