CateringPoRcy2004issuedon 5.10.2004alsoneededsome otheramendments.Inconsideration of genuinedemandsandsubsequentannouncements of Hon'bleMRin orderto fulfillthe social obligationsof the Governmentof India,theexistingCateringPolicy2004hasbeenreviewedby RailwayBoardanda newCateringPolicy2005hasbeenformulatedin super-sessionof all the existingpolicyguidelinesandadministrative instructionsissuedfromtimetotime. IRCTCwillfollowtheoverallpolicyguidelineswithreferencetoclassofstations,definitionsof major andminorunits,reductionincongestion,provisionof pantrycar,transferof license,exclusionand inclusionofclause,tenderingsystem,applicationsystem,tariff,reservationpolicy,renewa,tenure, ceilinglimit on holdingof cateringunits.mutuallyagreedroodelagreement,arbitration,etc. containedin the policy guidelinesor amendedI reviewedfromtimeto timeby Ministryof Railways.It is advisedthatas andwhenthe cateringservicesare takenoverby IRCTC,the functionsrelatingto cateringhithertoperformedby the zonalrailwayswouldbe performedby fRCTC.
